Welcome to the website for Sacred Heart Parish in the Shadyside neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In the course of 140 years Sacred Heart has become a significant Christian presence in East Liberty and surrounding areas. The significance comes, not from the massive size of our spiritual home at the corner of Shady and Walnuts Streets, but from the heart of each parishioner who witnesses in word and action the Love of Jesus and zeal for his gospel message of peace, love and forgiveness.
If you are a parishioner, you will find the web site helpful as an extension of the weekly parish bulletin. If you are a web surfer and you have landed here, you are welcomed to learn more about this parish and tour through photographs of the beautiful landmark church building that we call our spiritual home.
I encourage you to visit "The Faith" link above for prayers that you may find enriching.
Sincerely in Christ,
Robert J. Grecco

Website News and Feedback
We are inviting the Sacred Heart Parish community to participate in the development of the website. This site is a long term project and the eventual result will depend greatly on the level of involvement and interest shown by parishioners. As we add new features they will be developed further – or dropped entirely – depending on how useful they prove to be for the community.
If you are a Parish member who would like to lend a hand, we currently need volunteers to register as members of the site and help with identifying, describing, and labeling the pictures in the photo gallery. Visit the Site Information and Help section to learn about other needs, upcoming additions, or simply to ask for help.
Parishioners can register as members of this site through the Create an Account link to the left of this article. Registration will allow members to submit content to some sections of the site and there will soon be sections of the site that are only visible to site members.
